Happy New Year!
Wow! What a start to 2012!!!
After a fantastic end to our previous unit, and busy December preparing for the Christmas play, Year 3 have come back to school with a renewed enthusiasm for our current unit, ‘Ancient Civilisations’. We have been thinking about HOW we know about people in the past, by what they have left behind. The children had SO many questions about the ancient Egyptians, that we decided to spend a couple of weeks on a mini-inquiry of their choice.
The children thought about the questions they were more interested in; found information by reading books, looking on the internet and watching television programmes, and finally produced a presentation to share their learning. And what a job they did!!!
They were so enthusiastic to share their findings, that they would like to invite you to come and see their final presentations on Friday 3rd February, at 2.40pm. Remember, it is also the Y3 cake sale that day!
