ECIS / CIS

ECIS – European Council of International Schools – is a not-for-profit membership organisation dedicated to the advancement of internationalism through education by the provision of services to its members.

While ECIS schools are diverse in nature, they are united by a common set of core beliefs and values. They are committed to the ethical treatment of all members of their community. They are dedicated to offering an education which recognises the differing needs of the students they enrol.

Most significantly, they are committed to the promotion of an international outlook amongst all members of their communities. Their faculties and students are characterised by a knowledge of, and respect for, the beliefs and values of their own and other cultures and by the willingness to acknowledge the existence and necessity of a range of perspectives.

Other members endorse the mission, philosophy and objectives by providing services and support to member schools. The International School of Treviso is a member of both the ECIS and CIS (Council of International Schools).
